So… I’ve been pushing thing through the process to get a few more things done before the Bluff Country Studio Art Tour. This morning I has the brilliant idea to heat greenware in the oven to make sure it was dry before putting it through a bisque fire. Everybody does that sometimes right? I do that more than I probably should. And usually with no problems. But today, I forgot to set the oven temp really low and accidentally left it at 350 degrees. Fortunately, most of the pieces were already dry, but the one that wasn’t didn’t fair so well.
At least it was easier to clean out the oven than the kiln.
Have a great weekend.
