Just one week until the Bluff Country Studio Art Tour and I’ve got a load of pots in the kiln just starting to heat up and at least one more load to go, maybe two. Always pushing it to the last minute. Oh well.
I’m having a little trouble with one of my glazes. I’m not sure what the deal is, but my Sky Blue is cracking off the pots as it dries, so I’ll need to reglaze a bunch of them before firing. Might not get that done before the tour so I’ll be a little light on this great Iron Red and Sky Blue combo at the tour. It’s not a new batch of glaze and it had previously been pretty reliable so I think this application was a little too thick and I was pushing it to dry fast. We’ll see how they do the next time.
