This past weekend we fired the kiln for the third time. It was the longest of the three firings, so it will be interesting to see how differently things will come out. I’m glad I’ll be spending the rest of the week nearly two hours away from the kiln so I’m not tempted to peek inside while it’s cooling. Unloading will be next weekend. Can’t wait!!!
One of my favorite things during firings is the quiet during the night stoking shift. Check out this sunrise I got to see. Normally I’d have slept right through this, but what a great bonus to being up all night.
But then the shower and 12 hours of sleep after we finished up felt pretty goood too.
